Preserving natural lands and habitats in the Lake Calumet area and northwest Indiana

Highlighting historical and cultural aspects of communities in the region

Revitalizing the economy of the area 


	Calumet Ecological Park Association proposes to establish
an
 
urban ecological park in Chicago's Lake Calumet area and northwest
Indiana. This is envisioned to be an entity similar to the Illinois
Heritage
Corridor.  It would consist of a number of non-adjacent sites located in
green corridors based on the lakes and waterways of the region.
